MAKING OVER A ROOM ON A BUDGET

My sister just sent me these great pictures of her living room make-over.

She was bored with the old look, and wanted to make a change, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. She did the 4 things that I posted about on my

She began with a few things she already had, like the sofa, table, lamps, art, and drapes, and then added the 4 things that beautify a room. She added a fabulous star pendant (Ebay), a pair of snazzy convex mirrors (TJMaxx), a new fabulous rug (Overstock), and some fun pillows.

She took it a bit further by taking out her, what she refers to as, "ugly-white-blinds", and added those great new bamboo shades (Lowes). She also got rid of some old chairs after she found two beautiful, and yet very affordable, new chairs at TJMaxx. She then topped it all off by adding a cool piece of "LOVE" art that she stole from her teenage daughters room. Sorry Kelsey.

Yes, she knows that the two convex mirrors need a bit more space in between them. Her 6'3" husband hung them for her. She was just thrilled that he was helping even if he does happen to hang art way too high or much too low.

Now she's got the re-decorating bug. She's working on her hallway, her kitchen, and her son's room. She promises to send me those photos soon, but here's a sneak peek…

This is her trash-to-treasure chandelier. Somebody was literally throwing it away, but Susan saw the hidden possibility. She Spray painted it this great blue color, and then added some shades. Great job Susan! Can't wait to see the rest of your beautiful and creative budget makeover.
